Barry Butt

Barry Butt is the founder of Premier Strength & Conditioning Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta. He has been training athletes for 20+ years with a focus on professional and elite hockey players. Barry has been incorporating Velocity Based Training (VBT) in some form with his athletes for 15+ years. Over the past 4 years, with the use of PUSH Bands, he has used VBT extensively in his training programs. 

He has provided personal strength and conditioning program design and coaching to 40+ professional hockey players including 20 NHL players, 30 drafted NHL players, 6 first round NHL draft picks, 3 Olympic Gold Medalists and 100+ junior hockey players. 

In addition to his strength and conditioning work, he teaches in the Physical Education Department at MacEwan University. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, travelling and watching his son play baseball and hockey.
