Derek Wilcox

Derek Wilcox is a multi-faceted strength athlete currently living in Tennessee. He received his Masters and PhD in Sports Physiology and Performance from East Tennessee State. He was S&C supervisor over multiple universities, head para-powerlifting coach and a TPI certified strength coach for men’s and women’s golf. He works through Renaissance Periodization as a Nutrition and Training Consultant and has an impressive personal list of strength accomplishments with 20+ years of training experience. He has competed in Strongman, a National Meet Qualifier in Weightlifting at 94kg and 105kg, Class A Highland Games Athlete since 2009. Elite PL Totals at 165, 181, 198, and 220. Pro Totals in 181, 198, 220. All time WR Squat of 935lbs at 181lbs. He is also the lightest person to ever squat 1000 pounds doing so weighing in at 194 pounds. His best meet lifts are 1,050lbs squat, 565lbs bench press and 725 deadlift.
